BOUND AWAY (2011) A handmade book, edition of 1000, created in conjunction with the band Cake.  The book illustrates the lyrics of a single to a song off their album "Showroom of Compassion."  Each book comes with a CD of the single, so you can follow along while you read the lyrics.  I created all illustrations and the CD design.

AESOP COP (2011, Tomorrow John Press) Aesop Cop is a collaboration between writer Franklin Crawford, who scans small town police blogs for notable crime reports and writes an Aesop-style morality poem about them, and me, who illustrates the poems in an old-timey style.

SIDESHOW (2011) A handmade book, edition of 100, created in conjunction with the San Francisco Center for the Book.  The book follows the rise and fall of two circuses, via full color circus posters on the front and black and white newspaper clippings and notes on the back.  100% letterpress, with a hand-taped accordion structure.  I wrote and illustrated the book, and received a huge amount of production assistance from the Center for the Book.

THE OLDWAYS TABLE (2006, Ten Speed Press) Oldways was founded to advocate a return to healthy, traditional ways of eating.  This book contains essays and recipes showcasing the Oldways philosophy.  The book is illustrated throughout with my block prints.
